I am writing to thank you for your continued support for the Brampton Excelsior Lacrosse Club through the Mayor’s Community Fund.
The Brampton Excelsior Lacrosse Club is a community based team run by a volunteer board and we look to the community for support of our programs. This fund aides in the promotion of our game to the citizens of Brampton, by providing no charge entry to the games for children of Brampton, where they can enjoy our sport. We have also been able to provide entry to games for cultural groups to help them understand the long history of lacrosse in the City of Brampton, and the importance to tradition and heritage that this team, (one of the oldest in Canada), brings to our City. The Brampton Excelsiors and the City of Brampton develop elite athletes to compete at the National level in the Canada’s Official Summer Sport.
We promote the City of Brampton at each home game throughout the season, and while visiting and playing in other lacrosse communities throughout Ontario. We have proudly represented The City of Brampton in 5 National Championships both at home and in British Columbia in the last 10 years and won the Mann Cup (Canadian Lacrosse National Championship) in 2002, 2008 and 2009.
Your leadership and support through the Mayor’s Community Fund also motivates other sponsors and the community to support the Excelsiors.
Sincerely,
Ziggy Musial

I am writing to thank you for the generous donation which was made by The Mayor Susan Fennell Community Fund. The tickets for the Box Seating at the Rose Theatre’s production of Tap Kids, was by far the most sought after item at our Silent Auction. We raised nearly $400 with your help.
Having a child on a Select hockey team and playing at such a level can be quite expensive. Contributions raised, helped us parents to offset those cost. Because of generous donations by your office and many other caring member of our community the Select 6B team was able to participating in the Pepsi Hockey Invitational held in Buffalo this past March.
Thank you once again for helping to make that possible.
Penny Jones
( Resident of Brampton for 9 years and parent of a Select 6B hockey player.

We are thankful to the Mayor Susan Fennell Community Fund for its continued support to our community. We look forward to work together in future years.

On behalf of all of the pavilions and volunteers of Carabram, I express my gratitude to the Mayor Susan Fennell Community Fund for their financial support of Brampton’s premier, annual multicultural festival. Our volunteers work tirelessly to “bring the world to Brampton" each year and to provide an opportunity for thousands of people to come together and celebrate our rich multicultural heritage right here in our city. The grant we receive goes directly to assist all pavilions with their facility expenses and is a very important source of funding to the festival.
Thank-you again for your consistent support and contribution. It has helped immensely to sustain the festival and to make Carabram such a great success.

On behalf of the 11th Brampton Pathfinders I would like offer my thanks for the generous donation from the Mayor’s Community Fund to help our group of girls attend the Centenary Camp in Yorkshire, England and celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Guiding worldwide. The gift given picked up our fundraising shortfall and made our once in a lifetime opportunity possible.
The opportunity given to us by the Mayor’s Community fund has given our 12 to 15 year old girls a chance to see another part of the world, meet many International Sisters in Guiding and grow from the experience. The girls carried themselves with pride and dignity with the promise of becoming young women of potential and exceptional futures. The planning, saving and fundraising for this trip began three years ago, assistance from our community brought it to fruition. Our appreciation for the support and the enthusiasm we have received is heartfelt and humbling.

Peel Panto Players is grateful to the Mayor Susan Fennell Community Fund and their continued support for community theatre in Brampton. The Mayor's Community Fund has allowed Peel Panto Players to continue to produce wonderful family entertainment in Brampton for many years now.
The funds we receive go directly into our productions in the form of costumes and sets, and allow us to present affordable entertainment. Without the Fund's support we would no doubt have great difficulty in mounting the kind of shows we do.

Beaux-Arts Brampton has become a central focal point for the Visually Creative citizens of Peel Region nurturing and encouraging both Emerging and Professional Artists, in a vibrant Arts Incubator.
With the increasing pressures that the HST has added to utility bills and rent, the completion of the Trillium Funding, and the economic temperature has placed on us, the 2010 donation from the Mayor's Community Fund has assisted us in maintaining a Cultural presence in Brampton's Downtown Core for another year. Artists from diverse backgrounds, both "home-grown", and having moved here from several worldwide destinations, blend together in this Arts Incubator, increasing each other’s skills and immersing the surrounding community in varied artistic expressions.
Without some financial support, Beaux-Arts Brampton would eventually be forced to close, leaving an unsatisfactory void for both artists, and non artistic individuals who enjoy the Visual arts field. We sincerely thank The Mayor Susan Fennell Community Fund for their donation this year and their continued partnership with the Arts Community.

Skate Canada Brampton Chinguacousy thanks the Mayor Susan Fennell Community fund for being the title sponsor of the first ice show of our newly amalgamated organization. “I Believe”, our major “recital on ice” featured almost 500 children showcasing their extraordinary talent in a spectacular show. The newly amalgamated club had become so large we could not fit into any city owned facility. With the fund’s financial support, we were able to hold this event in the PowerAid Centre. Thank-you for helping so many children experience the thrill of showcasing their talent on ice in such an amazing facility.

On behalf of the Brampton Concert Band, Brampton's community band for the past 126 years, I would like to express our deep gratitude to the Mayor Susan Fennell Community Fund for its financial support of the band. Thanks to the Community Fund, our band was able to represent Brampton at provincial, national and international competitions again. In addition, the fund provided a grant for us to develop a new strategic plan. Our band members take great pride in being ambassadors for Brampton, and have earned numerous awards. The Brampton Battalion Hockey Club of the Ontario Hockey League appreciates the longstanding support of the Mayor Susan Fennell Community Fund. Donations in support of our successful Adopt-A-School program, and the Community Suite donations to school children and their families have made it possible for many children and youth to attend our hockey games and connect with the Brampton Battalion through this important program. We are also grateful that our team is promoted at many charity events throughout the year through the donation of the Community Suite to fundraisers across the city.
We look forward to a continued partnership with the Mayor Susan Fennell Community Fund.
